History means different things to different people. As students in history classes, we often got tired and bored of events, dates and important people. When we left school, we all thought there would be no more numbers and dates and memorization. How wrong we were! The difference was that we pursued activities and events we were interested in and it was presented to us in a much different way. If someone had whispered into my ear during a grade eleven history class that someday I would be writing a bit of my own history, I would have shaken my head.
